A distant island in a rather heavy atmosphere. This is more of an experiment than a finished image, but since a few people liked it, it's here ! |

This image was my first attempt to make something more realistic.. - Without having to, I made the lighthouse *too* detailed... - No one will ever see it anyway, but still.... - The details are there, just in case I would ever want to zoom in... |

This one is mainly a result of a program I wrote in VB, to create small reflective spheres from *any* text. The source got rather heavy, and just to make things even worse, I threw in a 8 by 8 area light to get the soft shadows. This one took forever to render.... |

The company I used to work for, IBS, of course have a logo... - This is it !! - The difference is that I blurred it up, made it a heightfield, and put it in a infinite sea.... |

I got a request to make something with a keyboard or piano, and the only thing I could think of was this... - It wasn't apparently too bad, since it finished #12 in the Internet Raytracing Competition September/October '97... |

One of the first scenes I rendered... - Of course it has the classic checkered ground-texture, and of course it's simple, but still.... |

Another mess-up... - This time with one of IBS's trademarks. - It's the same cube as the original, but correctly, and just not theoretically 3D-ized... I just had to make the tiles a bit (about 50%) transparent and just had to put some 'left-overs' on the ground... |

I once found some 'planetary maps' on the web, and this is one of the pictures I made with them..... |

One day, I found the tool Lparser.... - A freeware tool to create 'organic' shapes from mathematic formulas... - It took a while, but suddenly I had something to actually render, so I copied it a few times and put the 'trees' in a scene... |

Glass is a fascinating material, especially when You are totally in control of it's behaviour.... - This one's simple but, in my opinion, rather nice... |

This one's also a 'early' scene... - To be honest, this is *only* a few nested loops with SIN()-functions. - A minimum of code to create a large amount of spheres... - About 8.000 of them.. |

Surfing' the Net, I suddenly found some 'planetary maps' on a NASA-site ! - I just could not resist using those... - Finally, I came up with the idea of creating 'boule'-balls with the maps... - The ground texture is in fact a PCD from Kodak's website... |

Experimenting with mountains in Bryce this suddenly arose.. - Well... - Why not ? |

Experimenting with 'blobs'..... ;-) - A bit depressing without an editor.... |

This is just some screencaptures and a few 'waterdrops'..., but with the 'focal blur' it actually got interesting... |
